Get Out Your Comfort Zone

Life is about growth and evolving into your greater self. As we live, we learn. As we learn, we grow. I have been growing and investing myself, my time, and my energy into actions that are helping me create a new narrative and path for my life.

Because stepping out of your comfort zone is a major challenge, consider how aware you are about your life, your current reality and then consider if what you see is what you desire. Sometimes we have desires, yet our actions do not support what we desire. Personally, I have had to take time for self-reflection and I didn't like what I saw. It takes honesty and courage to walk outside your comfort zone. I had to put my big girl panties on. Because I didn’t like what I saw and made a choice - a decision - to do something about it. Change is never easy, but neither is staying in a situation no longer serving you.

Here are 5 ways to start your journey to mindfulness, awakening and change:

  1. Read something different once or twice a month. This will open your viewpoints and help you create a new narrative.
  2. Set up a lunch date with someone who is not in your regular circle. This will increase your circle of connections and also expand your opportunity for reaching your goals. This will also be a reflection of trusting the process.
  3. TRAVEL – repeat after me... TRAVEL IS GOOD. TRAVEL IS NECESSARY. TRAVEL WILL CHANGE MY LIFE. This is one of the biggest changes I have made next to getting healthy. Visit a new place once a quarter or as often as you can. Traveling is healing, and it gives you a fresh perspective about life and what you want.
  4. Enthusiasm – Find something you are inspired by. Every day, you should be surrounded by something or someone who inspires you. Inspiration is medicine to the soul. When I am inspired I feel free to do and be authentically me.
  5. Say Yes – Say yes to your dreams. Say yes to whatever scares you. Say yes to doing something new and exciting. Say yes to becoming a better you. Say yes to making Bold Moves.

Self-discovery and self-development is one of the most beneficial things a person can do for themselves. However, it’s the least taught skill in America. Don’t be afraid to seek and find a life that helps you create a new normal. Get out of your comfort zone. Give yourself a chance to do something you have never done before. Even if you have tried it before and it didn’t turn out the way you hoped, try it again.

From my heart to yours, I wish you new life, greater inner peace and a world of happiness.

Blessings,

Lady Kay
